Thought you'd like to know my dear young Dick will be turning 21
on the
night of the 30th of March (yeah not this friday but next friday).
Luckily
I dont have to put on a shindig myself for the young
whippersnapper as
he's doing a gig at The Troubadour on that night with his lovely
band The
Shotgun Country Club. What makes this night even more special is
that our
favourite scallywags will be playing alongside two of Brisbane's
most
controversial bands - Lost of Love and Ghost Audio.
Yep the same Lost of Love that was turned off by the local
constabulary
when they played the Valley Mall and yep the same Ghost Audio that
were
involved in that unmentionable scandal with Nicole Kidman last
year. This
will be one shindig to remember so get your twisted ass to the
Troubadour
on Friday the 30th of March.

around 10pm this Saturday night the 29th at Cafe Bello. An extra
exciting
addition to the nights proceedings is the inclusion of those sexy

Dearest Sweeties!
Well my lovely ones I've decided there is a god as Dick has a whole
weekend of gigs coming up which should keep the little bugger out from
under my nose and leave me far more important things to do with my
time
like writing fan mail to that lovely Pete Doherty boy.
So here are the details -
Dick Desert and his mouth organ maestro, Cousin Daisy, play Cafe
Bello(10pm Friday 30th and 9pm Saturday 31st) and Rics Cafe (8pm
Sunday
1st)this New Years weekend. Rumours are also circulating that The
Reverend
Jack Morecock will also join them for a special New Years Eve set at
Cafe
Bello. So why not end 2005 with some Dick and start 2006 with even
more.
Also on the bill at Cafe Bello on New Years Eve is that hot young
international burlesque starlet Lola The Vamp whilst globetrotting
electro
country wizard Anonymeye will be performing on the bill on both Friday
and
Saturday nights.
And for all those not quite ready to let the hangover kick in come New
Years Day, Rics Cafe (the 1st) also looks like being a wild night for
Dick
lovers with a bill including Matt Lobb (appearing as 'Smoke and
Mirrors')
& Choomby and his Insensitive Side as well as an assortment of others.
Well thankyou all for the ongoing support of my wayward son over the
past
year. Although 2005 was awesome for the young scallywag 2006 looks
like
being an even better year (for me especially) with Dick being out of
the
house a hell of a lot! So Happy New Year to you all and get your ass
to
one of Dick's gigs on the weekend!

night (13th of Dec) as part of the end of year celebrations for Jager
Uprising and I've managed to pinch a free ticket ($8 at the door) out

Dick Desert has fast become one of the most
notorious country musicians in
Australia. Notorious for blinding shows, cutting edge country music
and an
almost endless line of hot performers eager to join Dick on stage.

humble beginnings as a mere lagerphone player Dick has worked his way
up
to the festival circuit and will have played the Big Day Out, the
Edinburgh Festival and the Tamworth Country Music Festival 2006 all
within
the space of 12 months. A documentary crew will be following Dick on
his
inaugural visit to Tamworth. Dick also has one of his tracks appearing
in
a national compilation album (to be released in March 2006) and
rumours
are circulating that he will soon begin work on an album with one of
