Gidday again,
With our new CD due out later this year, we are offering people to
subscribe to our mailing list from which we will publish every name of
our friends in the CD booklet.
We met up with a few old friends when we had the pleasure of being
included at the Club Umina (NSW Central Coast) who were hosting the "Shamworth
Country Music Fesitval"in January. We were on the card with "Alan
Caswell" great to see him and he is still in fine voice doing a top
show with his band. "Lyn McKenzie" another friend of ours also worked
Shamworth with her band.
Our "From Scratch" CD has taken off like a Bondi tram via the internet
which is a wonderful medium for independent music if you are not
included in the main stream echelon. We were guided to this by long
time friend singer songwriter Chris Pelcer ex-pat Aussie who has
resided in Nashville for the past 30 year where he is a leading icon.
He pointed the comparison that Australia has in total around 20
million people and New York has about the same, so why restrict
yourself to a controlled minuscule market when you have a good product
and the world awaits. Work's for us.
Now that Frank has his farm in order and I have sold my entertainment
agency, we are looking to more live gigs around the place and working
on the new CD. We have been considerably quiet for the past 12 months
but now slipping into gear.
Our protest songs are still receiving air play around the country in
the form of "They're Closing Down The Bush" and "Access for All"
(lyrics by Win Morgan) giving the government hell about put our
heritage in the hands of National Parks. But the classic being aired
is our "Noah's Ark" detailing how bureaucratic intervention stopped
Noah from building the ark because he lives in Australia.
