GRAHAM GOULD’S
FIRST SINGLE SEES CHART ACTION IN EUROPE

-
-
Graham Gould charts again in Europe.

-
Although long forgotten for his days as part
of the crack band, Stoney Creek, Graham Gould has had a pretty good
year with his album Soundboard. Still getting airplay around
Australia and overseas, he has had a Top 10 in UK, Spain, Belgium
and a No2 in Italy and Austria with his first single Goodbye Lover,
Hello Friend. This week’s news from the ECMA charts sees him with
his song, There’s a New Way at No6 in Sweden and No9 in Ireland.
Graham who?

Hey Friends,
Again I wish to thank all those who came to the Macedon Hotel on the
30th June, as you all helped to make it the great night it was.
It was a freezing cold night and the dancing helped to warm us all.
Yes, even on stage we danced around a bit.
As I’ve said before, I know it’s well out of town, but it is worth
the trip and the food is great.
Yes! We are doing it again and I would like to invite you all to
another of Gouldy’s Gigs, if you’re free, that is. We have some
great food on offer and a dance floor for all the boot scooters, so
let’s have some fun and please bring your friends. We don’t want
them missing out, do we?
NEWS: Since the last gig at Macedon, I scored a No2 in Italy and
Austria and a Top10 in the UK, Spain and Belgium with Goodbye Lover,
Hello Friend. By all reports, the song is still somewhere in the
European Top100. Needless to say that was exciting news.

Hey Everyone,
Again I wish to thank all those who came to the Macedon Hotel on the
2nd June, as you all helped to make it the great night it was. We
found that we were starting to settle into the place with our sound
and lighting all sorted out and me remembering a few more lyrics. As
I’ve said before, I know it’s well out of town, but it is worth the
trip.
Yes! We are doing it again and I would like to invite you all to
another of Gouldy’s Gigs, if you’re free, that is. We have some great
food on offer and a dance floor for all the boot scooters, so let’s
have some fun and please bring your friends. We don’t want them
missing out, do we?
NEWS: There is a new movie clip (if that’s the word for it) which can
now be viewed on Myspace, YouTube or my website, so have a look and a
laugh.

I would love to see you all there. It’s not that I’m reliving my past
band days up there, it’s just a great country pub. Maybe I am reliving
the past. So what!
Best wishes to you all.

International Country Top 5
This week on the International Country Music Top 40, my single,
Goodbye Lover, Hello Friend, taken from my Soundboard album, is
sitting at No.5. What a surprise this is. I am amazed at the coverage
I’m getting with stations in New York and Seattle playing Streets of
Your Town.
The album is also getting extensive airplay on great radio stations in
most parts of OZ, thanks to all our wonderful DJs. In fact all tracks
are being played.
I have my new page at
www.myspace.com/grahamgould
so please feel free drop in and say ‘Hi’ and take a look around.
Likewise with my website at

what you think.
Best wishes and regards

New album by Melbourne's
Graham Gould is 25 years in the making.
The long awaited album by Graham Gould titled Soundboard, has finally
been
released with the green light given by about forty OZ radio stations
so far.
The album contains five self penned songs plus a mix of favourite
songwriters such as Rodney Crowell, Andrew Gold and Buck Owens. The
album is
now available through his website
www.grahamgould.com
This is the first solo album released by the Melbourne ex-Stoney Creek
guitarist in 25 years with the idea stemming from a bag of unrecorded
songs
that were written many years ago. Stoney Creek was well-known for
their live
shows throughout Australia in the 80s and either supported or backed
many
artists in the country music industry such as Jimmy Little, Lee
Kernaghan,
Reg Poole, Smokey Dawson and Tom T. Hall.
His EP of four songs was released early in 2006 while the album was
being
completed and was played throughout Australia and Europe. Although he
has
toured with Kiwi, Patsy Riggir and has won a NZ Gold Guitar Award for
songwriting, the new album however, looks like remaining in Australia
for
now.
Graham is disappointed that he has missed the deadlines for Tamworth
2007
and hopes to be involved in 2008.
Regards
Graham Gould

To all my Friends, Colleagues.
Rellies, Supporters and very nice 'Industry' people,
My Country 'e-NEWS'
It has been awhile since I last sent out any news, but being busy with
recording, there wasn't much to report.
We are now reaching the closing stages of my album with most of the
work done. The end result on most of the tracks is nothing less than
exciting thanks to a handful of very talented musos such as Michael
Burke on steel guitar, Gavan Anderson on a variety of guitars and
Daniel MacDonald on piano to name just a few. There are samples of
these songs on my Downloads page on my website, so take a listen. more
info
Four of my songs have now been published through Fable/Image Music who
are looking to place the songs overseas.
All four songs of the first sampler CD are getting radio and internet
airplay throughout most parts of Australia and now even Europe. I am
receiving airplay in Romania, Belgium, Austria, Netherlands, Denmark,
Germany and as I write the CD is landing in Malta as well. The details
of the radio stations can be found on my website. more info
Shortly I will be a guest on the Helen Kay Show which is a national
radio show, so I am looking forward to a chat with Helen, who is also
an award winning radio presenter. Unfortunately the list of
participating radio stations is too large to print, but to Country
Music listeners, you will probably know her already.
I invite you to take a look at the website from time to time as the
news is changing and so are the downloads, which also get updated.
There is also a message board for people with opinions and attitudes
or just want a friendly chat. So please drop by.
Stay tuned and cheers to all.
Graham Gould
The beginning of 2006 finds me
circulating my new 4 track CD to Australian
radio stations. This will serve as 'something to go on with' while the
rest of
the album is being worked on. I have just been added to the playlists
at HOT
FM Mildura and 2RRR in Sydney and these are the ones I know about, so
thanks
heaps to them. Of the four track on the album are two original songs
of
mine, Goodbye Lover, Hello Friend (the title track), There's a New
Way, Got
To Find Me was written by two fellow members of Stoney Creek and the
fourth
track is If You Gotta Go, Go Now. Anything I achieve with these songs
will
be a bonus for me as I believe there is so much talent in OZ that it
would
be an honour to rate alongside them. My goal or fantasy would be to
become
'The Oldest New Talent' in Tamworth. The 'oldest' indicates I've been
around
awhile, which I have. I've toured with Stoney Creek through four
states
regularly, supported or backed just about everyone during the 1980s,
appeared in Tamworth many times including headlining at the Worker's
Club
for the week. But, although we released several singles and were a
Gold
Guitar nominee, we never won one. I did win a Gold Guitar for
songwriting in
the New Zealand awards at Gore in 1983 for a song that we never
released. So
now it's time to get cracking and put all these songs on an album.
When the
album is finished, I would like to get out and appear at some
festivals,
just like the old days.
Thanks Helen and keep up the good work.
Regards
Graham Gould
