'Can I Sing Trumby'
Greg Bain won the annual Australian Bush Balladeers Association
Balladeers Star Quest held at the 2007Tamworth Festival. The
winner receives the opportunity to perform on major festivals
and events throughout Australia, and recording time for a
single.
Greg Bain has recorded "Can I Sing Trumby' written by one of
Australia's top bush ballad songwriters Ian Quinn. The storyline
is built around 'Trumby' a song written by the late legendary
Joe Daley, which was recorded by the late Slim Dusty in the late
60's and the Ian Quinn composition 'Can I sing Trumby" reflects
on the ongoing popularity of the song at a show.
The song showcases Greg’s vocal perfectly and is a standout
release from this popular Star Quest winner.
