Kristy Cox releases 2nd Single off debut Album,
and South Australian tour
-29th June 2007
This South Australian girl has been turning a lot of heads
since the release
of her debut album late last year. Kristy Cox is the girl, From My
the album, with the first single, I Don't Need a Man, getting a
response from country radio nationwide. In February the album was
for Victorian Album of The Year where she currently resides.
The new single, Reverse was co-written by Kristy and talented
musician Brett Wood. Kristy really shows her ability to rock with
which is full of attitude. It's all about when a girl doesn't like
told what to do and it is bound to stir up the scene.
Kristy has finished shooting her first video clip for this track
had an all girl band performing on stage at Churchill Saloon Bar
and will be
releasing it to CMC next month. She will also be touring with
Brothers through her home state this July, before heading over to
for her first trip in September.
Continuing with this years success, Kristy Cox has recently signed
distribution deal with ONE STOP ENTERTAINMENT who will distribute
current album into stores.
Reverse is track 15 on NFS 114 from Kristy Cox's new album,

Winner, 21 year old Kristy Cox has released her brand new album,
From My Eyes. The album was recorded in Melbourne and produced by
Hugh MacDonald in his studio. Co-writing 9 of the 11 tracks,
Kristy shows maturity in her songwriting and experience as a
singer. This being the first commercial release from Kristy Cox,
she is very excited to release the first track to radio in
December this year. Taking her inspiration from female country
artists with attitude, she looks up to the likes of Dolly Parton,
Gretchen Wilson, Lee Ann Womack and the Dixie Chicks. Kristyís raw
talent and versatility have really shone through with her much
anticipated first album. The recording shows her ability to nail a
country rock song with Reverse, and then pour herself into a
balled with, Donít say you love me. She also touches on another of
her loves; bluegrass covering the classic Rough & Rocky and then
quickly makes a turn into Country Pop with Easier To. A true stand
out is the original, Someone Waiting which really portrays her
deep roots in country music.
Kristy Cox is very passionate about performing and has beautiful
personality that will make you fall in love with her.
She is currently taking bookings and applying for festivals around
Australia to promote her new album and can be seen at the 2007
Tamworth Country Music Festival.
