SINGLE OUT DECEMBER – ON NFS 93
It took Charlie Landsborough almost 30 years to be ‘discovered’ but the success he has had since is phenomenal, with sell out tours in Ireland and the UK. In the UK his first album "What Colour Is The Wind" went platinum and since then, Charlie’s popularity has grown in stature. His songs have been covered by Foster & Allen, Jack Jones and George Hamilton IV. Charlie will return to Australia for a national tour in Feb 2005 and will be joined by international singer / songwriter Eric Bogle. Accompanying Eric will be fellow musician John Munro.

Available now through ACMEC, 'Reflections', this 20-track collection featuring his most popular love songs recorded over the last eleven years.

Occasionally a performer appears on the musical horizon who has that rare quality which enables him to communicate in an honest and sincere fashion with the over-critical public. Such is the case with Charlie Landsborough, a fine singer, guitarist and songwriter. Though his music can be termed loosely county music, it has appeal universal. His songs are full of little romantic thoughts that have a timeless quality. -

   CHARLIE LANDSBOROUGH RETURNS TO AUSTRALIA
By popular demand from his legion of loyal Australian fans, Charlie Landsborough is returning to Australia for a national tour next January. Since his July 2003 tour of NSW, the phones and emails have been coming fast, pleading with promoter Arthur Laing to tour him more extensively. Following his sell out with the Slim Dusty Touring Band, led by industry stalwart, Rod Coe, Charlie has released another album in the UK and is touring there relentlessly. Charlie’s special guest on most of the Australian tour will be Anne Kirkpatrick, a warm and wonderful entertainer. Like Charlie, Anne will also perform with her late father’s band, The Slim Dusty Travelling Band.

Charlie Landsborough is one of the more extraordinary characters in British music. Aged, 60, Charlie's singing career only took off after his 50th birthday after struggling down a lengthy road to musical success - previously a school drop-out, factory worker, jailbird, soldier and teacher before music beckoned. Since his breakthrough hit "What Colour Is The Wind" Charlie has toured extensively, recording albums in the UK and in Nashville. His brand new album "Smile", finds 18 new songs, each sung exquisitely and flavoured with a warm
country music ambience which has seen it hit the top 20 on the country music chart. It's been said that success took its time for Mr Landsborough but, as "Smile" shows, it certainly was worth the wait.
