Stoney Creek
From Melbourne

Greetings to all our friends,
Just a brief message to let you know that things are progressing very nicely on both fronts; my recording and the long awaited Stoney Creek reunion.
For all current news on the band’s reunion show and CD, take a look at the website. By the way, stop in at the ’Hungry House Café’ and say something so we know you’re there.
After a couple of months off, I will be returning to the studio to do some more recording. Part of the reason for this is to have it finished before we start on the Stoney Creek album.
Feel free to take a look at my website also for the latest news and a laugh at my old photos. Again, leave your message for me on my message board so we can have a chat.
Keep your music Australian.
Graham

Latest from STONEY CREEK here in Melbourne.
> REUNION NEWS <
Currently the Stoney Creek reunion show is being worked on with much head scratching as we haven't played these songs for 23 years in some cases. With a bunch of us sitting around with one acoustic guitar singing Crazy Love proved that we could still do it after all, almost unrehearsed. Other songs didn't happen as easily. We intend to record an album of old favourites first and then reproduced the album on a live show somewhere. At present we have many of the old members involved from the 1979 - 1983 line-ups including Michael Burke and former roadie and drummer, Peter Dirkx, who will also fly down from Queensland to take part in the show. Invitations will also be extended to other members as well.

I also have my own music pages up at www.grahamgould.com/music  Could these also be included? I guess I’d better include a photo. I’ll get it to you.
Kind regards
Graham Gould

With tours and appearances covering four states of Australia over a period of twenty years, the band has certainly carved out a name and a reputation as an outstanding showband.

Due to the geographical area covered, many people have had the chance to see the band in action. Many friendships were made along the way, some professional and others personal.

Playing at so many music festivals gave the band a chance to make many friends within the industry and even assist the development of younger artists.

Willie Nelson sang "The life I love is playing music with my friends, and I just can't wait to get back on the road again". These lyrics seem to remind us of the great times that were had throughout the years.

The band was formed in August 1978 in Melbourne  1978 - 1980
Wayne Ford: Drums/Vocals
Steve Janicki: Guitar/Vocals
Charlie Kneale: Guitar/Vocals
Brian Dullard: Bass/Keyboard/Pedal Steel Guitar/Vocals

The band played so many shows with Jimmy Little that sometimes it seemed that he was part of the band. Most of the shows we did with him were country music festivals throughout Victoria and New South Wales. Although each show had its own rehearsal, we never knew what he was going to sing until the song had started. This made each show a lot of fun and certainly kept us on our toes.
