The Wait is over –  The 2008 National Musicoz Awards are now open for entries!

Entries ore now open for Australia’s Premier Musicoz Awards for Unsigned and Independent Artists.

There are 17 different categories to enter into including: 

Rock, Pop, Dance/Electronica, Urban, Country, Alternative, Acoustic/Singer-Songwriter, Schoolies, Video, Metal/Hardcore, World/Folk, Jazz/Classical, Blues/Roots, International, Christian/Spiritual, Live, Instrumental  

All of the above are National Musicoz Awards in their own right. As well as this we have several other awards chosen from entries in the above categories, these include:

The only Award not judged by the industry is the People’s Choice (Public Vote) Award. All entrants in all categories are eligible also for this award which is determined by receiving SMS votes. All artists and bands can receive votes and potentially go into the Musicoz interactive voting charts. 

For the past eight years , Musicoz has been at the forefront of the surge in popularity in independent music in Australia and the National Musicoz Awards has been a true breath of fresh air in an industry that otherwise had limited scope for advancement for many artists.

Voting contains certain criteria for SMS sending.
MUSICOZ requests you use the following format. This is a game of skill because the most creative answer given will be judged and will win a Maton MS 503 Electric Guitar valued at $1,500
SMS Voting - Please DO NOT use any full stops / commas /asterisks / colons or any other grammar marks when voting for your favourite artist.
Once you have decided who the Musicoz Artist or band you want to vote for is. Just SMS the unique code given to the artist and a brief reason why you think they should win. Here is an example of a vote:

xxxx because they are an assault to my senses
(where xxxxx is the Artists unique Codename)

In the above example you'll notice that the codename is the unique code that is given to each Musicoz Artist then there is just a space then the reason why the artist should win. No punctuation marks of any kind at all please

All our awards are industry judged by the elite of the music industry except ourPeople’s Choice Award which is open to the public to cast their votes.

All entrants are given a unique Artists profile page on our new super website, which is used for both industry judging and public voting . In addition, this profile page will be available to all artists for promotional purposes for the following year.
