Australia Wide Tour For Reg Poole
“It’s about the only thing I haven’t done in Country Music” says Pooley, “And I’ve Always dreamed about touring right around this magnificent country that we live in. I’ve heard so many wonderful stories about the people and the places and now to be able to experience it first hand will be a real thrill!”

Reg and his wife of 42 years, Dot, will join forces with Singer / Songwriter Keith Jamieson and his guitar pickin’ chicken side-kick Alisha Smith for the 4 month journey of fun, music and madness. The caravan convoy will head North in July, Head West in August, East in September taking in SA, VIC & Tassie and then North again in October finishing at the Widgee Muster on the last weekend. “Caravan Parks, Clubs, Pubs and Missions are all on the agenda” said Reg, “So LOOK OUT AUSTRALIA, HERE WE COME!!!!”

The last couple of years have been gigantic for Reg……he’s had a fine top-selling album called ‘For The Love Of My Country’, He’s been elevated to the Roll Of Renown (only the 33rd person to achieve this honour), he was awarded the coveted O.A.M for his services to Country Music and the Community, and he’s had the added excitement of becoming a Grandfather for the first time. Ryder Nikolai has rapidly become the light of his life.

Reg is currently on the look-out for some new songs for an album to be recorded next year some time. Also mooted in 2008 is a 3 week tour to the states with his old mates Terry Gordon and Owen Blundell and a bunch of other Aussie tourists (Talk about terrorists eh!)
Reg and Dot and Keith & Alisha look forward to catching up with new and old friends around Australia in the eagerly awaited touring schedule.

From the 2006 Roll Of Renown recipient Reg Poole, comes his latest offering - the new album FOR THE LOVE OF MY COUNTRY.
It is the twenty-fourth album in Reg’s discography, and has been launched on his own label Matildaroo (distributed by OneStop Entertainment).

The album was inspired from the first single just released to radio A TRIBUTE TO SLIM - from the pen of WA songwriter Barney O’Donnell. It has been receiving great response at Reg's live shows, and has special meaning. Barney combined Slim’s history and songs into a beautiful woven story that Reg performs with feeling.

It is very poignant that Reg is the thirty-third inductee to Australia’s highest country music honour - the Roll Of Renown, as it is presented to those artists who have made a lasting and significant contribution to Australian country music, and yet Reg's latest single is paying homage to Slim Dusty - it just shows the calibre and integrity Reg Poole is as an artist.

Reg was also honoured with the Order Of Australia medal prior to him heading back out on the road touring with Owen Blundell. They are promoting their first DVD release of their show titled Live – filmed at The Plaza Theatre, Kyabram in Victoria.

The 13 track album FOR THE LOVE OF MY COUNTRY was recorded at Redbak Studios in Leeton - includes original tunes, some old favourites and a touch of comedy – with the perfect mix of Reg’s style. Standout tracks include Two Of You, Mt Ida, the title track For The Love Of My Country, the comical A Grave Situation and of course the single A Tribute To Slim.

Reg Poole is one of the leading bush balladeers in the country - what you see is what you get.

Yes, there are a few tribute songs dedicated to Slim out there, but with Reg blending his traditional style with the story of Slim, it makes for one memorable song.

A TRIBUTE TO SLIM (NFS #104 track 18) - it's genuine country music radio.

A Special appearance from Frankie J Spencer & his amazing dog.

Selby Green should have every reason to be proud of the Millers Forest Progress Association of which he is the President.
The aim of the assoc. was to restore & maintain the historic old Millers Forest Hall.
The venture was aided by the financing & building of upstairs section of the hall by Noel & Merv Mexom in memory of their father, I believe a lifetime farmer of the community.
On Saturday night the group ran one of their bi-annual country music shows, featuring Owen Blundell, Reg Poole, Wally The Worker & a Special appearance from Frankie J Spencer & his amazing dog.
The quality & quantity of the supper had to be seen to be believed, many large appetites were beaten with plenty for all & more. The ladies of the group do all the cooking & its easy to see why there is smiles on their husbands faces plus fewer holes in their belts.
