Gold Coast entertainer,
musical prodigy, Country / Pop singer & songwriter .. ROBERT VOGRIN,
passed away peacefully yesterday afternoon at 2:45pm at Gold Coast
Hospital at Robina.
Robert had been fighting for his life for the past 8 months, after
having been diagnosed with an aggressive tumour on his brain. During
this time, Robert had undergone 4 separate major operations on his
head in relation to this illness.
Robert's fiancé, DEBORAH BODY and his 13 year old son, BRANDON LEE
VOGRIN have been steadfastly by Robert's side all of this time ..
fighting the illness with him. Their love and relentless dedication &
inner strength during this crisis, has been nothing short of amazing !
Thank you to everyone who gave their friendship, love & support to
Robert and his family during this crisis in their lives.
Tomorrow night, 11 JUNE 2004 at 7:00pm .. Deborah and Brandon are
having a little get-to-gether to celebrate Robert's life and his
music. It will be an informal occasion, with discussion about Robert &
his career, showing of videos, photos, playing Robert's recordings of
his songs etc ... There will also be a sausage sizzle provided. We
want this to be a celebration of the wonderful achievements that
Robert contributed to the world of the arts. The venue will be at
BENOWA STATE HIGH SCHOOL (in the Performance Hall), Corner Benowa Road
& Mediterranean Drive, Benowa, Gold Coast City.
We would also like to gratefully acknowledge and thank the Principal,
staff & students at BENOWA STATE HIGH SCHOOL for kindly offering us
the use of their performance facilities, sound equipment, lighting,
barbeque & catering facilities ! THANK YOU !
