Debut Album out
now ? Everything I Need? Well.. My debut album has been released!
-
There are 12 original songs (10 of which I co wrote) and I?m
so happy with the end result. My co writers include Brendan Radford,
Michael Fix, Casey Watt, Drew McAlister and Allan Caswell. There is
also a duet featuring Drew.
Most of it was recorded on the Central Coast with Jeff McCormack
engineering and Brendan Radford producing and mixing done here in
Brisbane by Geoff McGahan.
The first single ?Til I Find Me Again? (co written with Drew) was
released on NfS 115 last week.
WA TourI?ve just returned from Perth (my home city) after a string
of gigs with the Women?s Weekly Roadshow and an Album Launch last
Sunday. The night was a great success and was joined on stage by
Brendan Radford and Russell Prior as we performed most of the songs
from the album acoustically. It was good to be back to visit and
catch up with everyone.
QLD Gold Medallion Awards
The nominations have been announced for this year's WARP 2007
QLD Gold Medallion Awards and I have been selected as a finalist for
the ?New Talent of the Year?. I feel very honored to be nominated
for such a prestigious award.
The Gold Medallion Awards are held on Friday the 3rd of August at
the City Golf Club, Toowoomba. Tickets are $25.00 to make a
reservation phone the club direct on (07) 4636 9000.
Gympie MusterI?m back again this year for the Gympie Muster and will
be having my official QLD Album Launch there on Friday 24th August.

May Newsletter
Debut Album “Everthing I Need”
May started with myself and Brendan Radford at the Central
Coast to band track my album at Rod & Jeff McCormack’s studio. What a
full on couple of days and an awesome experience. On my album
musicians include: Rod McCormack, Michael Fix, Mitch Farmer, Chris
Haigh, Glen Hannah, Michel Rose, Mick Albeck, Hugh Curtis, Vaughan
Jones, Brendan Radford and a duet with Drew McAlister. We finished off
here in Brisbane with some final overdubs and it’s all getting mixed
and mastered as we speak. I’m really proud of my debut album and
Brendan has done a superb job producing.
The first single “Til I Find Me Again” (co written with Drew) and the
album is due for release 2nd July – NfS 115. I can’t wait!
NSW gigs
Later in the month I had a run of gigs in NSW.. Hexham, Wyong, Picton
and Beresfield. The gigs were great and I got to play with some
incredible musicians and meet some fantastic people. I had the chance
to road test some of the new material too which went down really well.
I’m currently looking at organizing another stint in September so stay
tuned!

Hi everyone,
I hope you are all well and have all had a good Easter break!
Debut Album
Over the last couple of months I have been doing a lot of writing on
my own and with other incredibly talented songwriters in preparation
for my debut album. Many of these new songs will feature on my album.
The multi-talented Brendan Radford will also be producing. We have
been in pre-production mode for the last month or so. I am really
enjoying the process and am very excited.
We start recording early May and the first single and the completed
album is scheduled to be released in the first week of July.
QUT Urban Country Music Festival
I will be performing at my first Urban Country Music Festival
in Caboolture this year at the Songwriters Café on Saturday 5th May.
It will be a great opportunity to 'road test' some of my new material
from the album. I am really looking forward to it as I will be sharing
the stage with 2 of my favorite songwriters (and good friends) Casey

Hi there,
Last week we returned from a fantastic Tamworth Festival.. Many gigs,
interviews and fantastic country music! I was so excited to be in the
Starmaker finals. It was a great experience and I learned so much
from being part of it all. We had a great time and made many new
friends. It was really good to catch up with other fellow muso?s and
see them strut their stuff and finally meet in person too.
I can't believe February is here already. This month the songwriting
will continue as we prepare for my forthcoming album.

Hi everyone,
I have been writing fairly solidly over the last couple of months in
preparation for my first album scheduled to be recorded in the first
half on 2007 with Brendan Radford producing.
It has been an awesome (and busy) time for me as I have had the
opportunity to write again with Brendan. I have also been writing
with guitar virtuoso Michael Fix and participated in Allan Caswell?s
songwriting workshop in Grafton in October. I?m really enjoying my
?songwriting journey?.
My second single ?Whisper? was released to radio in October on NfS

to great response and support. And has been added to the playlists

experience.

Hi Helen,
How are you? Just thought I'd drop you a line and give you an update.
I have just returned from Perth ( my home town ) where I had a
fantastic time
and a successful EP launch. While the EP was launched in Brisbane and
Tamworth
in January, it was time to take it to Perth.
We had a great crowd (200+ people) and had a fantastic night. I
caught up with
people I hadn't seen for quite a while.. The support from everyone
including -

My 4 song EP was completed in January - Produced by Brendan
Radford. WE also
co-wrote Track 4-Freedom. Track 1-Whisper is the other original of
mine. I
had a few gigs at Tamworth and the EP went down a treat!
I will be in Perth (my home town) early April to launch the EP and

Much like the formation of her name sake,
Rose Carleo has a vocal ability that is not only versatile and strong;
it has a beauty unlike any other.
Striving to inspire and captivate people with her music, Rose Carleo
has been involved in the professional music industry for over fifteen
years. Rose is an accomplished performer on the stage and in the
studio.
Originally from Western Australia, Rose started her music career
working with artists such as Norma Kelly and Rick Steele in the
vibrant Perth country music scene.
“I dare you!” Those three motivating words provided Rose the
beginnings of her musical adventures. With the challenge given (as
only a mother can!) Mary Carleo a well respected country music
promoter from Perth, encouraged Rose to give her first performance of
the classic song “Roll in my Sweet Baby’s Arms” at age thirteen.
This versatile artist also performed backing vocals for Jimmy Barnes
during the release of his “Soul Deep” album in 2000 and her trio
“Sweet Revenge” were the support for Vanessa Amorosi’s Perth
performance during her 2000 tour.
Now calling Queensland her “home away from home”, Rose recently hit
the studio to record her first EP “Rose Carleo” with producer Brendan
Radford.
The combined talents and writing ability of Rose and Brendan have
culminated in an outstanding production that has something for all
music lovers to enjoy.
Pop, Rock, Country or Blues you name it, Rose Carleo can perform it. A
combination of these styles contributes to the warm, colourful,
romantic and distinctive tone that is the voice of Rose Carleo.
