Next Wednesday - the 22nd August, I'll be opening the show for Rick Price and Mitch Grainger @ the Basement
They've just recorded an album together-
should be fun hope you can make it!

Then Thursday/ Friday /Saturday (23,24,25) I'll playing at the Gympie Muster

Then I'm off to the USA and Canada in September to write some songs and do some gigs

Well the time has come!!!!!
This Wednesday the 16th May I'm launching my album "Broken Hearts like Records"
We will kick off at 8pm with Mr Matt Cornell playing songs from his forth coming EP.
Then myself , Matt Fell, Glenn Wilson and Bill Risby will play tracks from the new album.
Depending on the state of the party we may re take the stage later with some special guests
hope you can make it,it will be lonely without you

We finally cracked the Number 1 spot (never been number one at anything)
I knocked off Adam Brand , who i'm opening for and touring with .(see dates below) oops sorry Adam......
Huge thanks again to the super talented Glenn Wilson, who shot and painstakingly edited the video himself , discovering many new techniques along the way
also to Brooke McClymont who wrote the song with me (check out the McClymonts EP in store now) and Matt Fell who produced the track

Just finishing up the Aussies Walk the Line- Johnny Cash show at the Star City Showroom before heading off with Adam Brand to Qld / Nth Territory next week

CMC Top 50... Sam takes over at the top
Sam Hawksley (pictured) took over the number one spot on the CMC (Country Music Channel) Top 50 video clip playlist this week with Come Back Baby pushing Adam Brand's Open Ended Heartache down to number two.

Singer songwriter SAM HAWKSLEY had been awarded the opening spot on his February Australian Tour. With over 20 artists submitting for the tour, Urban's huge increase in profile in both Australia and the USA and a sell out tour, it was one of the most hotly contested opening spots of the summer. I'd been told that Keith had heard and liked my CD ("On Any Other Day") and think it will be great to share the stage with him and play to his audience said Sam. His debut album "On Any Other Day" through Village Roadshow was released in June 2003 to critical acclaim. He is currently completing a new album which will now be released to coincide with the tour. Toured with John Farnham, Olivia Newton John and Anthony Warlow in the Main Event. This hugely successful show toured Australia for 3 months and was documented with a live c.d. and televised concert. Sam was the only musician to play with all three artists. He was featured in an acoustic duet with Olivia and Anthony.

Toured with 60's pop sensations the Seekers on their Australian tour to promote their Future Rd album. Performed with Absolutely everybody's favorite pop singers Vanessa Amorossi, Leah Haywood, Shanley, Michelle Bradford Jones. Produced and performed with Cold Chisels principal songwriter Don Walker Sam has worked with almost every country artist in Australia
