Sarah McMonagle

Growing up listening to artists like John Williamson and Norma O’Hara Murphy, it’s no wonder Sarah McMonagle loves to write and sing songs about Australia.
Sarah first took to the stage to sing with her Dad and sister in her local country music festival when she was 8 years old, and she has never looked back.
Through years of involvement in her local country music clubs and competing in the Queensland talent quest circuit, Sarah has grown into the incredible entertainer that she is today. Sarah uses her rich, earthy voice and powerful stage presence to tell her stories and brings to life our favourite bush ballads of yesterday.

“the A.B.B.A have observed Sarah as being a very able performer with outstanding songwriting and vocal abilities” Lorraine Pfitzner on behalf of the Australian Bush Balladeers Association Inc

“Sarah is a true high class talent, with a vibrant attractive appearance, an engaging stage appeal, a flawless vocal performance and an ease and comfort on the stage that rivals the most seasoned performer” Deborah Minter – Capital Country Music News

“Sarah … attended my Songcamp in Toowoomba where she proved to be one of the most able of the songwriters, singers and guitar players. I spent quite a bit of time with her and she’s very motivated to pursue her music and craft” Roger Corbett

“Sarah’s voice is extremely unique, she has the emotion to capture an audience and make them feel involved in the story of the song” Paul Wilson – QLD Champion of Champions events manager and Queensland Country Music circuit adjudicator

The last 12 months have seen Sarah excel in the country music talent quest circuit by reaching the grand finals of the Australian Bush Balladeers Association Star Quest and the prestigious Queensland Champion of Champions. She has now gone on the win five consecutive overall performer awards at Queensland Country Music Festivals in 2006 alone. This talented young singer/songwriter from Brisbane has a huge future in the country music industry so keep your eyes out and ears open for Sarah McMonagle.
