"Performing Songwriter"

Every so often you'll hear a singer with so much
unbridled joy in her voice, you can't help but smile.
Van Preston will hit you this way with well-crafted
lyrics to match her sassy soprano. Preston's
self-titled release has a decidedly classic country
flavor along the lines of Dwight Yoakum or Loretta
Lynn. Sweet fiddle and pedal steel add just enough
sparkle without detracting from the lyrics.
Highlights include "What Goes Around Comes Around" and
the fast-paced "HeartBroke for The Last Time". But the
cherry on top of this musical sundae is "Bought Myself
A Toy." "When I'm missing you, I just snap that baby
right out of the case and it gets rid of my blues,"
Preston sings over electric guitar and raucous
drumming.

The second radio single, "What Goes Around Comes
Around" for "New Traditional" UnConventional Records
Artist Van Preston, was released to secondary radio
Summer 2006 and is gaining airplay each week. This was
one of 15 winning songs in the 2006 CMT/ NSAI
Songwriting Competition and spent seven weeks on CMT's
website. Ms. Preston's Major Market Radio debut
release is set for early 2007 on QuarterBack Records
of Nashville.

Van Preston's song, "What Goes
Around, Comes Around",
written when she was just eighteen, is in the top 15
songs in the 2006 CMT/NSAI Songwriting Competition,
out of over 6,000 entries. Van's song and bio will be
featured on cmt.com until April 23. The song is
included on her 2005 debut album.
Van's first single, "Absolutely Broken" was just
released in February to over 2,000 secondary radio
stations, and has been receiving great feedback to
date. The video for her song,"Toy", is currently
airing on Music video shows as well as airing on
Sprint video phones in New York, LA, Miami, and Virgin
phones in London and Dublin.
